Sacramento Kings' Point Guard Injured?
Tyreeke Evans of the Sacramento Kings goes down to the floor after a first quarter buzzer-beater layup. He was hit by New Orleans Hornets' center Emeka Okafor. He stayed on the floor for minutes in pain. Trainers said that he got the wind knocked out of him. But when got onto his feet, he was holding his right leg. There was no foul on Emeka Okafor which means he got hit lightly. He got injured on 12/8 afternoon, Tuesday. The Kings are 9-10 this season.

The Woes to Iverson's Homecoming
As you know that Allen Iverson came back to his first team. He made his debut with the 76ers on 12/7 against the Nuggets. Well it did not go so good. The 76ers lost. The final score was
83-93. The fans were disappointed to their team's lost. It ruined Iverson's comeback, NBA TV says. Iverson scored 11 points. The highest player with points on the 76ers side was Andre Iguadala with 31 points. On the Nuggets side the highest player with points was Chauncey Billups with 31 points too. Here is an awesome shot by Andre Iguadala, but it will not count

Greg Oden Out For The Season?

He was carried to a stretcher and hurried across on the court. He had a lot of injuries through out his career. Also many players are injured in the Trailblazers. Nicholas Batum, Rudy Fernandez, Head Coach Nate McMillan, and Travis Outlaw. The Blazers would win the game with Brandon Roy's layup over Trevor Ariza. Aaron Brooks could have gotten the game-winner, but he forced it and missed.

Allen Iverson: Philly or Bust?
Allen Iverson was signed to the Philadelphia 76ers. He sings a one year contract. He will be wearing number 3 and will play against the Denver Nuggets on 12/7 at home. He might be the Answer for Philly because he has good players on his side who are Andre Iguadala and Elton Brand. He was drafted to the 76ers in 1996. He played until 2006. He was then traded to the Denver Nuggets. He played a lot of games there with Melo. He then again moved to the Detroit Pistons. He did not as much, but once hit a game-winner. After that he was sent to Memphis. I had posted a in my blog. He did not play a lot of games like any of his team when he was sent out to the court. He only played three games! He did not play because of a injury. After that he left for personal help. Wonder that could be. Any who, what a waste of playing time for a team who needs an Answer! Maybe Iverson needs to retire now. I am not liking this trade because he could also not play as much like in Memphis. But there is a bright side anyways, two words: PLAY AGAIN! Iverson should be playing like he used to when he was a young.

Warriors Send Unhappy Jackson to the Bobcats
Stephen Jackson was a forward for the Golden State Warriors, but he got traded to the Charlotte Bobcats. Bobcats also got Acie Law. The Warriors received Raja Bell and Vladimir Radmanovic in exchange. Stephen Jackson will give the Bobcats the lowest team points with 82.4 points a game. He is still upset because of the Warriors rejection after he helped the Warrior go to the NBA 2007 Playoffs. The NBA fined him 25,000 dollars for saying he demanded a trade publicly. Larry Brown, Charlotte Bobcats' head coach, says his biggest challenge is how to get use to Jackson's demanding attitude. The Bobcats have been involved in about 16 players trades in almost 11 months. The Bobcats are 3-7 this season.

Brandon Jennings Was Automatic Last Night
Brandon Jennings of the Milwaukee Bucks scored 55 points last night win against the Golden State Warriors, 129-125! He is the third rookie to score more than 50 points in Bucks history. The first rookie to score more than 50, was Moses Malone in 1969. He scored all of his points starting in the second quarter after he was scoreless in the first quarter. The Bucks' lead started when Jennings drained a three pointer to give the Bucks a two point lead, 117-115. The Warriors team became worst because Kellena Azubukie got injured by tearing a tendon in his knee. Azubukie was about to drive to basket, but he slipped on the court. Bucks' head coach was very impressed with Jennings performance, he can't even say how he felt about his rookie's scoring run. The Bucks are 5-2 this season.

Spurs Have a Stronger Kick Against the Thunder
The San Antonio Spurs have Tony Parker and Timmy back into the starting lineup. They had been on the sideline because of ankle sprains. They will go against the Thunder tonight who are 4-4 this season. The Spurs have won their four games at home without Parker or Timmy. George Hill, who is Parker's backup position, did well for the point guard spot. He had two games with 11 and 22 points with about 6 assists. The Spurs are 4-3 this season.
Hornets Got Stung With an Injury
Chris Paul of the New Orleans Hornets, was injured yesterday against the Portland Trailblazers with an ankle injury. He injured his ankle after passing the ball to Hilton Armstrong for a dunk, but he accidently fell on Joel Pryzbillia's foot. He would leave in the third quarter. He was struggling before the injury with only 3 points and 8 assists. He said he will not play in today's game against the Hawks. The Hornets are 3-7 this starting season.

James Will Change Jersey Number to 6
Lebron James says he will change his number from 23 to 6. He wants to honor Micheal Jordan' s number. " I feel like nobody should wear number 23. Nobody. If I'm wearing that number, I would let someone else wear it for their own", James said yesterday. Lebron's lucky number is 6 from his U.S.A Olympics jersey. He might wear this number next season. He also said he will wear 6 for his child who was born on October 6.

Raptors Release Quincy Douby
Can the Hornets Get a Win Without Scott?
Byron Scott, New Orleans Hornets head coach, was fired this morning coming back from Phoenix. The Hornets were beaten by the Phoenix Suns before he was fired. I think he was fired because of the Hornets bad start with 3 wins and 6 losses. New general manager Jeff Bowen of the Hornets will take over Byron Scott's position for now on. Scott has been coaching the Hornets for 5 years now. Chris Paul, Hornets guard, says that his team is doing great, but they are struggling without Tyson Chandler, Charlotte Bobcats center. Chandler always brings back the team with blocks, dunks, and offensive or defensive rebounds. Chris Paul always throws alley-oops to Chandler. Bowen says he will make this team better this season.

Vincanity is Back for Action
Vince Carter, Orlando Magic guard, is back from an ankle injury. He sprained his ankle while playing against the New Jersey Nets on October 30. He was examined before playing today against the Charlotte Bobcats. His team won 93-81 and he had 15 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists. He might also play tomorrow against the Cleveland Cavs. His team have won 5 games and lost 2 games.

Love is Gone for the Wolves'
Kevin Love, Minnesota Timberwolves' power forward, is injured for breaking his hand. He broke his hand by hitting it against his teammate, Oleksiy Pecherov's elbow trying to rebound the ball. He fractured a bone in his left hand. NBA.com says that he will miss 6 weeks. He left in the third quarter. His club lost the game against the Chicago Bulls 94-90.

Dwyane Wade Injured?
Dwyane Wade, Miami Heats' shooting guard, is injured for straining a muscle in his left rib cage. He did not play yesterday against the Oklahoma Thunder. I think you know who won without Wade. He was injured last Wednesday against the Orlando Magic. He sounds fit to me because he practiced for two days with his teammates. His coach says he will play Thursday against the New Orleans Hornets.
Antawn Jamison's Injury
Antawn Jamison, Washington Wizards' power forward, seperated his shoulder off a joint trying to block or foul Zydrunas Ilguaskas. NBA.com says he will not undergo surgery to his relief. He left in 1st quarter. His club won the game though to make the first lost for the Cleavland Cavs! The score was 109-104.

Will Iverson and Randolph do great at Memphis?
The Memphis Grizzlies chose a different course. Not only that they got Iverson, they also got Zach Randolph from the L.A. Clippers. Even how talented they're both are, they also need help from their teamates. But their teamates need more training! Reporters say that they had and assist and field percentage of less than 60%. I predict that even with two new players added, they will repeat 60% or lower again.

Easter story
One day I was walking down the street in Jerusalem, when suddenly I felt people pushing me around in a crowd. I heard a lot of shouting, the people were saying, “Make way for the glorious One!” and “Hosanna!”. I slowly made my way to the front of the crowd. And then I saw a man with a white robe riding on a donkey. I wonder who this man is. (John 12:12-19)
When I was heading home, I saw the Man, Jesus. He was sitting with His friends eating dinner. He had just finished washing their feet. His actions confused me since Jesus was the Lord and Teacher, and He washed the feet of His disciples just like a servant did. When I went closer to listen, Jesus said,” He who shares my bread has betrayed me.” I saw the disciples talking to each other and wanted to know who Jesus was talking about. Jesus answered that, “It is the one whom I will give this piece of bread when I have dipped it in the dish.” And then I waited nervously, and saw Jesus giving the bread to Judas Iscariot. It was getting dark so I ran home. I felt a very strong wind which made my hat fly away.(John 13)
I’ve spent my day in a garden relaxing and I fell asleep. Then suddenly I woke up because I heard Jesus praying. I saw His disciples asleep. I went closer to hear what Jesus was saying. I heard Jesus glorifying the Father in heaven. He also prayed for the protection of the disciples since He will be leaving them soon. While Jesus prayed for all believers, I felt the cold, hard wind on my face, so I wrapped myself with the blanket and went back to my spot near a big rock. Then I fell asleep again.(John 17)
I woke up because I heard that Jesus was arrested. I saw the soldiers put a thorny crown on His head and struck Him in the face. They were leading Him to the place of the Skull to be crucified. Jesus was carrying His own cross. I knew that was heavy and wanted to help Him but I was only a small boy. I felt sad when they crucified Him and took His clothes. I saw Jesus’ mother at the foot of cross and some of His friends, they were all weeping. And then Jesus died, and I couldn’t stop the tears rolling down my face. I felt angry at the soldiers and the people because of their cruelty. I thought Jesus didn’t deserve this.(John 19)
After three days I went to Jesus’ tomb. Then suddenly I felt the earth shaking. “What was that?” I said. I saw the huge stone covering Jesus’ tomb rolled away. I peered to see what has happened. I went inside and saw that Jesus wasn’t there! Then I heard footsteps. So I hid behind a nearby bush. I saw Mary Magdalene weeping outside the tomb. I followed her inside and saw a figure in white talking to her. And then she cried out, “Teacher”, and I realized that it was the risen Lord. Jesus said, “Go to my disciples and tell them I am risen.” I was overjoyed that He had risen from death. I ran out of the tomb wanting to tell everyone the good news. (John 20:1-18)

Detectives in TOGAS
by Sam
My character in Detectives in Togas is Rufus. The book was written by Henry Winterfeld and the story happened in ancient Rome. It is about the adventures of seven boys who went to Xanthos School together: Mucius, Cauis, Rufus, Publius, Julius, Flavius, and Antonius. All these young boys were a pupil of Xanthos.
My name is Rufus and the story began in class one day when I wrote “Caius is a Dumbbell” on one of my writing tablets. I then hang the sign behind my teacher’s desk for the whole class to see. I was angry at Caius for distracting me while I was studying. When Caius saw the tablet, he was furious and called me a son of a coward. I adore my father, Marcus Praetonius, who was a famous general at that time. My father had just lost an important battle, and so I was deeply humiliated with Caius’ words. We started to fight in the middle of the class. Xanthos whose nickname was Xantippus was very angry at us for fighting.
A few days after the fight with Cauis, I discovered that Tellus was pretending to be a soothsayer like Lukos. Lukos was a famous astrologist and seer who lived in front of our school. Tellus did not want to be arrested so he engraved “Caius is a Dumbbell” in the Temple of Minerva which was dedicated to the Emperor. He wanted me to be arrested instead. When two guards saw this, they immediately told it to the senator. Cauis blamed me for writing in the Temple of Minerva because of what happened in school.
The next day all the other boys went to school and noticed that I was missing along with our teacher, and Cauis. Mucius, Antonius, Julius, Flavius, and Publius kept on hearing a groan in the nearby apartment where Xanthos lived, and which was next to our classroom. Finally they looked around and found that the groan came from within a closet in the room. When they opened the closet they found our teacher in it. Xanthos told them that he was robbed and locked in the closet. After they heard our teacher’s story, my friends started their investigation.
I was actually in prison the entire the time my friends were wondering where I was. One day I wanted to send a message to my friends at school. So I told a servant to tell my friends to “tear the sheep’s clothing off a red wolf”. I was able to tell the servant before the guards started beating me. Back at Xanthos School, the servant hastily told everyone my message but no one could figure out what it meant.
My friends’ investigation led to Tellus whom they saw one day going into a bakery. Mucius and the others dashed through the back door where they saw two buildings: on the left building was the Baths of Diana while on the right was Lukos’ house. They saw Tellus waiting inside the house but when they entered the house they saw Lukos counting money. Lukos saw them and shut all the doors so they couldn’t go out.
All my friends jumped at Lukos but finally, Cauis punched him and knocked him out. Mucius then said that Lukos actually meant wolf and that the sign outside was in the color red. Lukos also had hair that was like sheep’s wool. When Lukos awoke he told everything that he wrote and that he pretended to be a soothsayer.
They discovered that Tellus wrote “Caius is a Dumbbell” and released me to my friends. Tellus was not arrested though, but killed because he was trying to escape. He fell into the Baths of Diana where there was no water in neither of the pools.

Forest of Secrets
One of my favorite books I have read is Forest of Secrets by Erin Hunter. It is about a cat whose name is Fireheart. Fireheart belongs to a clan called the ThunderClan. Fireheart is also a warrior and has a best friend. In this book he will try to uncover the truth behind their old deputy's death named Redtail. But Tigerclaw (the clan's deputy is envious of Fireheart. He also wants to kill him. Fireheart knows about this but their leader, Bluestar, doesn't believe him. I suggest that you read the book to find out more about Fireheart's exciting story.
